Iowa Alerts
Iowa Falls and Alden Schools will continue to participate in a state-sponsored communication program entitled,
Iowa Alerts. Iowa Alerts provides another means by which parents, community members, and other interested persons can be notified when our schools have a delayed start, released early, or cancelled due to adverse weather. Participation in the Iowa Alerts program is free. It's easy to receive notices through the Iowa Alerts program. Interested persons can subscribe by going to thedesignated website (https://schoolalerts.iowa.gov/) and create an account by clicking on the "Sign Up!" link. Once the account is created, notices can be received via e-mail, cell phones, or e-mail capable PDAs. There is no limit to the number addresses in the account.
