Each week students in 3rd-5th grade come to the library where Mrs. Bartlett teaches library skills lessons. Some of the topics covered throughout the year include: using the library for research, digital citizenship, reading for enjoyment, finding a "good fit" book, and author studies. We want our students to learn how to use the tools in the library independently for school work and enjoyment.
Mrs. Bartlett also teaches computer skills to each class once a week. Students work on typing skills periodically throughout the year. Additional topics we work on are: digital citizenship, research, word processing, digital presentations, and blogging. We want our students to learn that technology can be a helpful tool in everyday life as long as we practice good digital citizenship.
